Hi Jarred. Good on the SG-Labs Xvtrs presentation. They are making an interesting product at reasonable cost. I have one of the 900 MHz units.
I recently updated the azimuth motor on the dish using a slewing drive. It's maybe an obscure topic but if interesting to the club I'd be glad to present. More of these things are showing up as actuators for solar arrays and can be improvised into dish antennas.

I would like to present a lecture on the topic of noise, what it is and it's effects on radio communication, and what we can do about it.

Understanding noise, and as system being noise limited, is the foundation for making choices about filters, pre-amps, transmission cable and its affects on operating modes.
